Pathways to Health - Public Health System

Governance Assessment

On June 10th, over 60 agencies, city and county officials and state legislators were invited to participate in an assessment of Tulsa's Public Health System. Nearly 45 agencies were represented at the assessment that was facilitate by the consulting group Milne & Associates. The all-day event helped agencies to begin to understand what our Public Health System is doing well--and more importantly what we can do to improve it.

Participants worked in dynamic groups to determine how we can solve some of our system-level problems and to prioritize our areas for improvement. The group came together again on August 28th determine the best way to move forward from the assessment. Again, a diverse set of partners came together to discuss the format of the Pathways to Health Charter. The links below will take you to a list of the participants and invitees from June 10th, pictures from the event, the final assessment report, and the Pathways to Health Charter provided by Milne & Associates.

This assessment is one of the four that we will complete as part of our Pathways to Health initiative. To learn how you can participate as an individual or through your agency please contact Alicia Plati.
